Transfer gossip: West Ham plan raid for Man Utd trio; Arsenal ‘want to sell’ England international
West Ham are interested in bringing up to three Man Utd players to the London Stadium this summer, while Arsenal are ready to sell one of their England internationals…
MAN UTD TRIO WEST HAM-BOUND?
West Ham are ‘interested in signing’ three Man Utd players in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire are all the subject of interest from the Premier League side with Football Insider claiming that the Hammers ‘keeping tabs on their situation at Old Trafford’.
All three of them have fallen down the pecking order at Man Utd under Erik ten Hag and there have already been rumours that the trio could leave in the summer.
West Ham boss David Moyes ‘is a big admirer of the trio and has shortlisted them as potential targets for the summer transfer window’ and the Hammers see their chance to land them after all three missed out on the starting XI in United’s Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle last weekend.
Maguire has fallen behind Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez at centre-back and the England international is likely to seek a way out if he isn’t promised more game time next term. The main issues potentially stopping a summer deal to West Ham would be Maguire’s high wage demands and ‘interest coming from other Premier League clubs as well as from abroad’.
Currently McTominay has played more minutes than the other two this season but Man Utd are ‘ready to listen to offers’ for the Scotland international.
Martial has been on the verge of leaving Man Utd for a couple of years now and it’s unlikely that the club would stand in his way if they receive a decent offer.
WILL ARSENAL MOVE ON FROM SMITH ROWE?
Arsenal are ready to let Emile Smith Rowe leave in the summer transfer window, according to reports in Spain.
The England international has made just seven substitute appearances in all competitions this season after undergoing surgery in September to rectify a groin issue.
He had been suffering for some time with a niggling groin complaint and he only returned for the first time in their FA Cup victory over Oxford United in early January. However, he has only made another two brief appearances since, coming off the bench against Tottenham and Everton in the Premier League.
And now Spanish publication Fichajes claims that Arsenal ‘wants to sell him to make cash’ this summer after the 22-year-old ‘lost his place in the rotation’ with Leandro Trossard joining the club in January.
The Gunners know he is ‘highly valued’ by other Premier League clubs with Smith Rowe one of their current squad players who would command a big fee.
AND THE REST…
Arsenal are desperate to sign Borussia Dortmund and Germany midfielder Julian Brandt…AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus are all on “high alert” to sign Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino after it was announced the 31-year-old will be leaving the Premier League club…Bayern Munich are set to push ahead with an offer to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham this summer despite Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting signing a new contract…Kane will stay at Tottenham if they sign Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse…Tottenham are also considering Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez as a potential successor to former France captain Hugo Lloris.
