Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd 'reopen' Bruno Fernandes talks; Pablo Mari to Arsenal; Tottenham deal confirmed

Standard Sport understands Arsenal working on loan deal for Pablo Mari with a view to a permanent move - and the Spanish defender has arrived in London today with Edu. Meanwhile, ​RMC Sport has played down reports in Spain claiming Thomas Lemar has agreed a move to the Gunners.

Elsewhere, reports suggest Manchester United have reopened talks to sign Bruno Fernandes. United and Sporting were 'miles apart' in their valuation of the midfielder during the week but Record in Portugal now claim United have returned to the negotiating table to thrash out a deal.

As for Tottenham, Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Spurs will execute the option to turn Giovani Lo Celso's loan move into a permanent deal.

When does the January transfer window close?

Transfer deadline day is on Friday, January 31, 2020.

The window will close at 11pm GMT, with Premier League sides needing to submit deal sheets before that time to be able to complete all of the necessary documentation on a deal after the deadline has passed.
