Defender Willy Boly reportedly has an offer to move to Saudi Arabia after his Nottingham Forest contract expires in the summer.

The centre-back is due to become a free agent at the end of the season. But it seems clubs already have an eye on trying to snap him up.

According to Ivory Coast publication 225 Foot, Boly could look to end his career in Saudi Arabia once his Trentside spell ends. It is said he is “of interest” to Al Riyadh, who are managed by former Reds boss Sabri Lamouchi.

A two-year deal is reportedly in the offing from the team currently ninth in the Saudi Pro League. It is said the move would come with “a salary that should meet (Boly’s) requirements”.

Boly finds himself down the pecking order at the City Ground at present. He has made just three appearances so far this term and has not featured since August.

The 33-year-old’s last run-out for Forest was when he made the starting XI against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup. It will be a tough ask for him to get regular minutes as Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo are the first-choice centre-back pairing and Morato has been entrusted to come off the bench and help see out a number of big games.

Boly penned fresh terms for the Reds in May. A one-year deal was agreed, with the club holding the option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.

Ola Aina and Chris Wood are also set to see their contracts expire in the summer of 2025 but the club are keen to tie both down to new deals. However, there has so far been no indication that Boly will stay put beyond the end of the campaign.

The Ivory Coast international signed for Forest from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2022. He has made a total of 39 appearances in the Garibaldi.
