De Jong doesn't want to leave Barcelona and certainly doesn't appear keen to go to Manchester. It's starting to look more akin to a kidnapping than a transfer.

From Arsenal via Fenerbahce to Istanbul Basaksehir in less than 18 months. The fact that some people gave credence to the rumours linking Ozil with Hull shows just where his career is headed.

Brentford have beaten off interest from Manchester United to sign former Lazio keeper Thomas Strakosha. He's a fan of Japanese Manga, apparently.
DONE DEAL: Brentford have completed the signing of goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha on a free transfer.
He has signed a four-year deal with the club.

Pau Torres has been scouted by every club in Europe. And now it seems Manchester City have entered the fray, though Juventus remain favourites to land him.
However, the source of the tweet is what is most interesting. It claims to be "Your Best Plug For Sports Updates" yet only has one follower. Why will no one believe him? Why does he keep sending out transfer news? Why doesn't he just email his one follower with the news? I have so many questions.
One like though, that's a pretty decent hit rate. Oh, he's liked it himself.

Not a great start, getting his name wrong in the announcement.
Our next signing is @JordanLazenbury who we have snapped up from @AbbeyHeyFC where he was a prolific scorer.

And this is a great tweet, made all the better by the first response.
Reading have Tom Ince, Jeff Hendrick, Scott Dann, Junior Hoilett and now Shane Long.
They are going to be some force for the 2011-12 season.— Ash Rose (@AshroseUK) July 13, 2022
