It's worth noting that Trump has made a number of disparaging comments over the years about Travis's girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Last August, he shared an AI image that falsely implied that Taylor had endorsed him for president.

After Taylor endorsed Kamala Harris, Trump said, “I was not a Taylor Swift fan… She’s a very liberal person, she seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.” He later posted on Truth Social, "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!"

Trump's attendance will mark the first time a sitting president has attended a Super Bowl. Travis was subsequently asked his thoughts on the matter by People, to which he replied, "That's awesome. It's a great honor."

"I think you know, no matter who the president is, I know I'm excited because it's the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there — it's the best country in the world — and that's pretty cool," the Chiefs tight end added.

This tracks with previous remarks Travis has said, such as when he previously confirmed that he would go to the White House post-Super Bowl win "every time...no matter who's up there at the helm."
