Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has sent a message to Jude Bellingham after the midfielder's Champions League triumph.

Saturday night saw Real Madrid claim a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund to win the Champions League final. Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr. scored the goals at Wembley Stadium to see Madrid win their 15th European crown.

Bellingham started the game for the La Liga giants under manager Carlo Ancelotti. The former Liverpool transfer target played a key role in helping Madrid beat Dortmund, the club he left to complete a deal potentially worth £115 million just 12 months ago.

After the game, Bellingham took to social media to post a series of photos on Instagram of his celebrations. The post read: "Champions of Europe. Siempre Hala Madrid."

The post received more than 3.5 million likes and 30,000 comments, with Alexander-Arnold being one of them. The Liverpool vice-captain wrote a four-word message to Bellingham which read: "1st of.. congratulations brother."

Bellingham spoke of the emotions he felt after helping Madrid win the Champions League final. The 20-year-old also played a key role in helping the Spanish club win the La Liga title this season ahead of rivals Barcelona.

"I've always dreamed of playing in these games," Bellingham told TNT Sports after the full-time whistle at Wembley.

"When it gets hard at times you start to wonder if it's all worth it - but nights like tonight make it all worth it.

"It's got to be up there in terms of the perfect season. I can't put it into words, it's the best night of my life."

Alexander-Arnold's future at Liverpool has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks. The right-back is contracted at Anfield until 2025 and it remains to be seen if and when negotiations will begin over an extension.

A result of the speculation has seen Alexander-Arnold linked with a move away fo Liverpool. Madrid have been credited as a potential suitor for the Kirkby academy graduate in the event he leaves Merseyside either this summer or in 12 months.
