Troup upset bid falls short in OT, Jefferson wins, 62-59

Jan. 20—TROUP — Troup's attempt to upset the Jefferson Bulldogs fell a few points short Friday night as the visitors came away with a 62-59 overtime victory over the Tigers.

After falling behind by three points heading into the final quarter, the Tigers (21-5, 4-2) clawed back to tie the game, 48-48, at the end of regulation.

Jefferson (18-4, 5-0) got the job done in the extra segment by outscoring Troup, 14-11.

A trio of Tigers ended the evening in double figures, with Trae Davis leading the way with 15 points.

Carter Graves knocked in 12 points, which included three shots from beyond the arc and Hudson Harrell canned 12 points.

Jefferson's Travis Gray scored a game-high 21 points.

Next up for Troup is a Tuesday road game against Tatum. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m.
