Mugello stages its first Formula One Grand Prix this weekend in the ninth round of the 2020 season, with fans able to return to the sport for the first time in nine months.

In what is the second of three Italian races this season, Mugello comes hot off the heels of a thrilling race at Monza, where Pierre Gasly took a maiden Grand Prix victory in the AlphaTauri, much to everyone’s surprise.

The Frenchman led home the youngest podium in F1 history alongside Carlos Sainz and Lance Stroll as Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari all suffered disappointing weekends, but eyes will be on Lewis Hamilton once again as he looks to bounce back from disappointment in his campaign to win a record-equalling seventh world championship.

While talk will undoubtedly surround the return of fans at trackside, the big controversy has been Racing Point’s decision to axe Sergio Perez from his contract at the end of the season and replace him with Sebastian Vettel, ensuring that the four-time world champion will remain on the gird in 2021 after he leaves Ferrari.

And with this set to be Ferrari’s 1,000th F1 race, Vettel and Charles Leclerc are set to find themselves under even harsher scrutiny than normal.

Here’s everything you need to know about the ninth round of the 2020 F1 season.

When is it?

The Tuscan Grand Prix takes place across 4-6 September 2020.

How can I watch it?

All European races will be held behind closed doors, meaning that the only way fans will be able to see the action is on television.

In the UK, Sky Sports continue to hold the exclusive rights for F1, with Channel 4 only able to show the British Grand Prix live as they are restricted to highlights coverage the rest of the year.

If you’re not a Sky customer you can purchase a NOWTV Day Pass here to watch without a subscription.
