Tyra Banks says that discussions are under way for a potential follow-up to Coyote Ugly, the 2000 romantic musical comedy drama that was based on the chain of bars of the same name.

Banks played bartender Zoe in the film, which primarily revolved around Piper Perabo’s Violet Sanford, a burgeoning singer songwriter who starts work at Coyote Ugly. While the film was met with average reviews, it went on to gross £86 million ($113.9 million) across the world, buoyed by LeAnn Rimes’ accompanying song Can’t Fight The Moonlight.

During her recent appearance on Kelly Clarkson’s talk show, Banks admitted that she “literally was supposed to be on a conference call today about bringing Coyote Ugly back,” before adding, “We are talking about trying to do Coyote Ugly 2 or a series."

Unsurprisingly, Banks didn’t have too much more to say on the potential follow-up or reboot, or whether her, Perabo, Maria Bello, Bridget Moynahan, or Izabella Miko might return.

However, the model and host of Dancing With The Stars did insist that, if she did come back, she still has “the dance moves” to play the part of Zoe again. In fact, she even went as far as to say that she wouldn’t want anyone to try and choreograph her performance, except for Dancing With The Stars judge Derek Hough.

Banks then recalled her audition for Coyote Ugly over 20 years ago, admitting that she danced to Prince’s Kiss for it.

Clearly she immediately impressed the casting team, too, because rather than just dancing for a small portion of the song, they decided to let her showcase her moves for its entirety.

At the end of the track, when she was completely out of breath, Banks said that everyone “just started laughing,” before telling her, “We are so sorry, but we were enjoying that so much, we kept the music going.”
