The boxing world will come to a standstill on December 21 when Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury do battle in their highly anticipated rematch in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The "Gypsy King" Fury is hoping to avenge the first professional defeat of his career at the hands of the Ukrainian, after losing out to Uysk in a showdown for the undisputed heavyweight world title back in May. The growing influence of Saudi Arabian Minister for Sport Turki Al-Sheikh in boxing has seen a rematch quickly come together, with the Middle Eastern power's '"Riyadh Season" set to host another huge global event in the sporting director.

And the massive financial resources ploughed into the fight by Al-Sheikh will see both fighters bag an even bigger purse this time around. Despite emerging as the winner on the night in the first bout, Usyk's reported sum of £30million was dwarfed by the £85million collected by twice world champion Fury. But it is now rumoured that the fighters will receive a combined fee of £150million and that champion Usyk will bank a much larger share of the purse this time around.

The 37-year-old - who previously reigned as undisputed cruiserweight world champion before jumping up in weight in 2019 - is the first heavyweight to capture all four major belts in the division in the history of the sport. Usyk vacated his IBF title to allow British rivals Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua to fight for the belt, with the former coming out on top with a devastating fifth round knockout.
