Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury continues his journey in the United States for the third consecutive fight, when he faces off against Otto Wallin at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Back in December, in one of the best fights of 2018, Fury fought WBC titleholder Deontay Wilder to a split draw in Los Angeles. Then in June, the Brit made his debut in Las Vegas, where Fury (28-0-1, 20 KOs) easily dispatched Tom Schwartz by second-round TKO. The top contenders in the division were locked into fights and Wallin stepped up to the plate.
The relatively unknown Wallin (20-0, 13 KO's), who doesn't have a Wikipedia page, had been scheduled to square off with BJ Flores on July 12 in a 10-round affair. But the Washington State Department of Licensing wouldn't approve a license to Flores.
A win by Fury and he will meet up once again with Wilder, should "The Bronze Bomber" beat Luis Ortiz later in the fall.
The consensus among boxing pundits is that Wallin is a setup guy for Fury to look good against.
But in boxing, you can never say never and that's why you step through the ropes and the let the leather fly.
