U.S. judge to decide Brady's 'Deflategate' suspension within days

NEW YORK, Aug 31 (Reuters) - The National Football League and Tom Brady have failed to reach a settlement in their dispute over the New England Patriots quarterback's four-game "Deflategate" suspension, leaving a federal judge to decide as soon as Tuesday. U.S. District Judge Richard Berman said at a brief court hearing in New York on Monday after a final round of unsuccessful settlement talks that he will likely decide whether to uphold or vacate the suspension either Tuesday or Wednesday but no later than Friday.
