UFC 157 Fighter Bonuses: Bermudez & Grice Lead List of $50,000 Bonus Winners

UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche Stays the Course for FX Prelim TV Ratings

The Ultimate Fighting Championship handed out $50,000 bonuses for in-Octagon performances following UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., on Saturday night.

The Fight of the Night bonus money went to Dennis Bermudez and Matt Grice, who put in their claims early for Fight of the Year. Bermudez had Grice in deep waters early on as he was able to land unanswered ground shots, but Grice fought back to control the latter stages of round one and round two.

With Grice tiring, Bermudez gave it his all in round three, and had Grice on the ropes multiple times, completely dominating him, but was unable to finish off the fight. Bermudez ended up claiming a split decision, while a draw would have been a fitting result.

Robbie Lawler banked the Knockout of the Night bonus award in his first UFC bout since 2004, as he scored a massive upset over Josh Koscheck with a first-round TKO finish.

Submission of the Night honors went to Kenny Robertson for his first-round leglock finish of Brock Jardine on the preliminary card.

The total money awarded in bonuses following UFC 157 totaled $200,000.
