Stipe Miocic earned a Performance of the Night bonus for his first-round finish of second ranked Andrei Arlovski in the fight card's co-main event.

Miocic stunned the former champion with a short right hand and dropped Arlovski with a follow-up combination. He finished with a series of left hands forcing referee Herb Dean to stop the action. With the win, Miocic solidified himself as the top contender in the heavyweight division.

Bantamweight Michael McDonald earned a Performance of the Night award for his second-round submission on the preliminary card. McDonald had been out of action for two years prior to Saturday. The former title contender took Masanori Kanehara's back early in the second frame and locked on a rear-naked choke that forced the Japanese fighter to tap out.
