UFC 198 Results: Cris Cyborg Goes All Cyborg on Leslie Smith

Cyborg is here and people are going to get hurt, folks.

Cris “Cyborg” Justino wasted no time in cementing her place in the UFC, earning a technical knockout over Leslie Smith on the pay-per-view portion of the UFC 198 card on Saturday.

Cyborg blasted Smith with strikes to the applause of the crowd in Curitiba, Brazil, finishing bout at 1:21 of the opening round.

Justino ran to the Octagon from backstage to an applause coming from her fellow Brazilians. Once in the cage, she carefully countered Smith's strikes and landed power shots with what seemed like no regard for human life.

Smith then ate a strong right hand that sent her falling to the Octagon floor. It was just a matter of time, not to mention a number of hammerfists and strikes on the ground, before the referee pulled Cyborg off her opponent, making her the winner in her Octagon debut.

With the win at UFC 198, Cyborg improves her record to 16-1, 1 NC. Now we wait and see if she'll continue her weight-cutting routine and compete in the UFC women's bantamweight division.
