UFC 201 Results: Underdog Jake Ellenberger Stops Matt Brown in the First

Jake Ellenberger picked up a big win on Saturday, stopping Matt Brown in the first round of their fight at UFC 201 in Atlanta.

Ellenberger landed a big right hand in the opening moments of the fight, and Brown fell to the floor. After being pursued to the ground, Brown recovered and was able to return to the feet where he began to go on the offensive.

Ellenberger had his back against the cage as Brown was in seek-and-destroy mode. While Brown was pressing his fleeing opponent, Ellenberger threw a mid kick that found its mark. Brown fell to the ground in obvious pain and his opponent followed him there. After a few strikes on the ground, the referee pulled Ellenberger off his opponent and signaled a stop to the fight.

With the win, Ellenberger stops a two-fight skid and improves to 31-11. He was the betting underdog in the fight at +255.
