UFC Fight Night 75 Fight Card Filling Up Fast

UFC Fight Night 75 Results: Josh Barnett's Batters, but Doesn't Banish Roy Nelson

The UFC returns to the Saitama Super Arena on Sept. 26 and more fights were released this week, filling up the fight card. So far there are 10 bouts confirmed and the card will also feature the final of the “Road to Japan” reality show in which eight Japanese featherweights are currently competing.

In the lightweight division, Naoyuki Kotani (33-12-7) will be looking for his first UFC win when he takes on “TUF Nations: Canada vs. Australia” semifinalist Kajan Johnson (20-11-1), while there will be a bantamweight match-up between Takeya Mizugaki (20-9-2) and George Roop (15-11-1).

The card will feature no fewer than 10 Japanese fighters with Karate specialist Katsunori Kikuno (22-7-2) handed a tough-looking assignment against TUF 14 winner Diego Brandao (19-10). Another Japanese fighter looking to bounce back from defeat is Shinsho Anzai (8-2), who will be hoping to secure his first UFC win against the relatively inexperienced Roger Zapata (4-1).

Making his promotional debut will be Legend FC veteran Yasuke Kasaya (9-1-2). The Japanese lightweight signed for the UFC on the back of an impressive submission win over Frank Camacho at PXC 47 and is booked to face Germany’s Nick Hein (12-2-0-1).

The card will be headlined by a previously announced heavyweight match-up between Roy Nelson and Josh Barnett, who both served as coaches on the “Road to Japan” reality series and there is also a middleweight match-up between Roan Carneiro and Gegard Mousasi.

Former flyweight title contender Kyoji Horiguchi returns to take on Chico Camus, while Japanese veteran Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto takes on Matt Hobar in the bantamweight division. There will also be a featherweight match-up between the two successful semifinalists from “Road to Japan.”
