The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Sunday for UFC Fight Night 83: Cowboy vs. Cowboy. It marked the first time in more than five years that the promotion had held an event in the Steel City.
The 13-bout fight card drew 7,330 spectators and brought in a $572,547 in gate receipts.

UFC Fight Night 83 featured a Cowboy vs. Cowboy battle between Donald Cerrone and Alex Oliveira in a five-round welterweight main event. Those in attendance and watching live on television witnessed Cerrone get his first win in the 170-pound division when he submitted Oliveira in the first round.
In the co-main event, middleweight Derek Brunson extended his winning streak to four consecutive fights by finishing veteran Roan Carneiro by TKO midway through the opening round. Brunson has scored first-round knockouts in his last three outings.
