UFC Fight Night 92 Results: Dennis Bermudez Dominates Rony Jason, Calls Out Frankie Edgar

Eight-ranked featherweight Dennis Bermudez logged a dominating performance in the UFC Fight Night 92 co-main event on Saturday in Salt Lake City, defeating Rony Jason by unanimous decision.

Jason, winner of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil featherweight tournament in 2012, was never in the fight. Bermudez applied constant pressure and repeatedly put the Brazilian on his back.

The first two rounds were all Bermudez. He landed leg kicks on his feet and secured every takedown that he attempted. In the second frame, Jason was able to get back to his feet once grounded, but couldn't keep from being put on the canvas.

The final round was Jason's best, and he briefly had an opportunity to put Bermudez in danger. Bermudez attempted to take Jason down and Jason scrambled and took Bermudez' back. He looked for a rear-naked choke, but Bermudez defended the submission attempt. He quickly turned into Jason and gained top position. All three judges scored the fight for Bermudez with one scoring him winning a round 10-8.

“I feel good,” said Bermudez after the one-sided win. He then called out second-ranked Frankie Edgar and walked out of the octagon.

“Frankie Edgar, November 14, Madison Square Garden. Let's go,” he said. Edgar's a New York native and wants on the UFC 205 fight card in November. It'll be the first UFC event hosted in New York City.
