Those in attendance witnessed ninth-ranked heavyweight Mark Hunt score a walk-off knockout over former champion Frank Mir in the fight card's main event. Hunt landed a right hand and as Mir crashed to the canvas, the “Super Samoan” knew it was over.

In the co-main event, welterweight Neil Magny earned the biggest win over his mixed martial arts career when he became the first fighter to ever finish Hector Lombard. Lombard dropped Magny in the first and second rounds, but Magny didn't lose sight of the victory. He took the Cuban down in the third round, mounted him and delivered punches until the referee had to intervene.

The 12-fight card featured five knockouts, two submissions and five decisions.
