UFC on FOX 18 Weigh-in Results: All Fighters on Weight
While much of this week's screen space was taken up by the turmoil surrounding next week's UFC 196 turned UFC Fight Night, the spotlight has shifted back to this week's fights. UFC on FOX 18 takes place in Newark, N.J. and airs live on FOX on Saturday night. But before they can step in the Octagon, the fighters first had to step on the scale on Friday afternoon, making their bouts official.
The main event features a key five-round light heavyweight bout between top contenders Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and Ryan Bader. Ranked No. 2 and No. 4 respectively in the UFC light heavyweight rankings, the winner of this bout is likely to emerge as the top challenger to the winner of Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones, which is expected to take place later this year.

The UFC on FOX 18 co-main event is another pivotal bout, but in the heavyweight division. Josh Barnett and Ben Rothwell are both on the fringe of title talk, but a win in New Jersey would propel the winner that one step closer to the championship, which is currently mired by injury.
Kicking off the main card is undefeated up-and-comer Sage Northcutt, who is moving up to welterweight for the first time in the Octagon, as his original lightweight opponent, Andrew Holbrook, withdrew from the bout last week. With the late notice change, Bryan Barbarena stepped in and the bout was moved up to the 170-pound division.
