Neil Magny Sends Johny Hendricks Packing at Welterweight (UFC 207 Results)

The Ultimate Fighting Championship made its Filipino debut on Saturday with UFC Fight Night 66: Edgar vs. Faber at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.

There was no shortage of exciting fights, although several went the distance, as the card was stacked with regional favorites that were excited to fight in front of their longtime fans.

Neil Magny improved his winning streak to seven, but he had to come back from the brink to do it. Hyun Gyu Lim gave him an early scare, rocking Magney in the opening round, but then perhaps punched himself out a bit, as he believed Magney was about to drop.

Magney, however, survived the first round, and then came back to finish Lim via a flurry of strikes early in the second, earning a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.

The other Performance bonus went to Jon Tuck, who submitted Tae Hyun Bang in the first round of their preliminary card headliner.

The Fight of the Night was an exciting back-and-forth affair between Jon Delos Reyes and Roldan Sangcha-An. Each man came close to finishing the fight on several occasions, but it was Reyes that secured the fight-finishing rear naked choke. Sangcha-An didn’t go home empty handed, though, as each man was awarded a $50,000 bonus for his efforts.
