Unai Emery reveals what he told Jhon Duran after outburst
Unai Emery has revealed he had a brief chat with Jhon Duran following Aston Villa's 2-0 win over Bologna after the striker showed his frustration at being taken off by thumping and kicking seats on the substitutes bench.
Duran doubled Villa's lead in the 64th minute after John McGinn's opener nine minutes earlier. The 20-year-old got in front of compatriot Jhon Lucumi to prod the ball past Lukasz Skorupski from Morgan Rogers' cross
Duran was going to be taken off before scoring anyway, as Ollie Watkins was prepared to come on, but wasn't happy to be replaced and let his feelings known after he reached the bench. After full-time, Duran was all smiles as he went to collect the UEFA Player of the Match award following his impressive display against Bologna.

"After the match and the press conference, I told him, 'we won a Champions League game, you scored a goal in the Champions League, I don’t want to be answering questions about this'," Emery revealed on Friday afternoon ahead of Villa's clash with Bournemouth on Saturday.
"Of course, he is young, he has passion sometimes, and sometimes he is showing his energy - positive and negative - but it’s not relevant, not important.
"Because I spoke to him and in one minute, we finished this conversation, without problems. The problem is having to ask questions about it."
Duran has now scored seven goals in 12 appearances this season, despite only start two matches against Wycombe Wanderers in the Carabao Cup and Bologna in the Champions League.
