Undefeated Champion Holly Holm Inks Multiyear UFC Contract Extension

UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm has signed a multiyear contract extension with the UFC.

Holm's manager, Lenny Fresquez, broke the news to ESPN.com, but gave no details about the terms of the extension.

“We have officially signed a multiyear extension with the UFC,” Fresquez said. “That's all I can verify right now. We've signed an extension, and we're very happy with the extension.”

Holm, 34, shocked the world when she decimated former unbeaten champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 on Nov. 15 in Melbourne, Australia.

“The Preacher's Daughter” originally signed with the UFC in July 2014. The former boxing world champion made her UFC debut in February 2015, defeating Raquel Pennington by split decision. She next competed at UFC Fight Night 71 in July 2015, defeating Marion Reneau by unanimous decision.

Holm is expected to face Rousey in a rematch at UFC 200 on July 9, but has stated that she'd like to complete before the July event. UFC president Dana White has shot down the possibility of Holm competing before fighting Rousey a second time in several interviews.
