Ram Vilas Paswan cremated with full State honours in Patna

The remains of Ram Vilas Paswan were then brought to his residence in Patna's Boring road. From 8 am, on Saturday, the general public have been allowed to pay their last respects, and the cremation will take place with full state honours at 1.30 pm, at the Janardan Ghat in Patna.

A huge crowd gathered outside Ram Vilas Paswan's residence to pay their last respects to the Dalit leader.

From his residence his remains was taken to the Bihar Assembly and then to the LJP headquarters, where party supporters were allowed to pay their last respects till 10.30 pm, his family members said.

A large crowd, including several political leaders, gathered outside the residence of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Saturday, to pay last respect to the departed leader.

The mortal remains of Lok Janshakti Party's founder were flown from Delhi to Patna on Friday for the last rites. The union minister had passed away on Thursday after a long illness. He was 74.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, and several other leaders paid their tributes to the late leader at his residence in the national capital.

Ram Vilas Paswan held the portfolio of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Union Minister Piyush Goyal has been given additional charge of the ministry.

His son Chirag Paswan and other family members paid tribute as the mortal remains of LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan arrived at Patna airport from Delhi on Friday.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav were also present at the airport.
