The starting XV includes three further changes as Wes Goosen starts on the right wing with Duhan van der Merwe on the left and Emiliano Boffelli at full-back.

James Lang swifts back to the inside centre role, with Bennett returning to outside centre while Kinghorn and Henry Pyrgos form a new half-back pairing.

In the pack, Crosbie’s return to the openside flanker role is the only change to the back-row, with Jamie Ritchie co-captaining the side and Viliame Mata starting at number eight.

Tom Cruse starts at hooker once again, with the returning Boan Venter at loosehead and WP Nel at tighthead; co-captain Grant Gilchrist and Sam Skinner complete the tight-five.

Glasgow Warriors make two changes

After defeating Edinburgh 16-10 in the first leg of the 1872 Cup, Glasgow Warriors head coach Franco Smith has made just two changes to his starting XV.

Ollie Smith’s addition at full-back is one of the changes as he joins captain Kyle Steyn and Sebastian Cancelliere in the back three.

Stafford McDowall and Sione Tuipulotu are retained in the midfield, while Ali Price swaps places with George Horne to start alongside Tom Jordan in the half-backs.

The back-row is unchanged, with Matt Fagerson and Sione Vailanu on the flanks and Jack Dempsey at number eight.

Sintu Manjezi and Richie Gray combine in the second-row, with the front-row remaining unchanged with Lucio Sordoni at tighthead, Fraser Brown at hooker, and Jamie Bhatti at loosehead.

Glasgow have opted for a six-two split of forwards and backs on the bench, with George Horne and Domingo Miotti the backline options.
