Unstoppable Celtic storm 11 points clear of Rangers as Hearts dismantled at Tynecastle
Unstoppable Celtic stormed a staggering 11 points clear of Rangers at the top of the league after cruising to victory at Tynecastle.
It was the perfect day for the reigning champions as crisis-hit rivals Gers slumped to a 1-1 draw at home to Dundee United earlier in the afternoon. Second-placed Aberdeen also crashed to their first defeat of the season away to St Mirren, allowing Celts to take control and motor three points clear at the summit.
Although it was a goalless first-half in Gorgie, Neil Critchley's side poised the biggest threat, with Lawrence Shankland and Alan Forrest both going close for the hosts. But the Jambos were made to pay for their lack of ruthlessness as Kyogo broke the deadlock on 55 minutes.

It was a gift too for the Japanese striker as Daniel Oyegoke's clearance cannoned off Callum McGregor, falling into the path of Kyogo who buried home at the second attempt after a fine save by Craig Gordon. Nicolas Kuhn then doubled the lead five minutes later with a sensational near-post finish - the German's 11th goal of the campaign.
Sub Adam Idah then got in on the act in front of the small travelling support as slid the ball through Craig Gordon to make it 3-0. Musa Drammeh thundered in a stunning consolation goal from 20 yards out, giving Kasper Schmeichel absolutely no chance.
However, the league leaders put the icing on the cake as £9million striker Idah grabbed a brace by converting a stoppage-time penalty after James Forrest was tripped by Jorge Grant.
