US Open tee-off times: Tiger Woods alongside Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas as Rory McIlroy in early action on day one

The second major of the year takes place in New York as Winged Foot hosts the delayed US Open, with in-form world No 1 Dustin Johnson the hot favourite to triumph after his recent Tour Championship success.

The American heads what is a competitive field in the US Open, with compatriot Collin Morikawa also one to watch after he announced his arrival on the big stage with a phenomenal maiden victory in the US PGA Championship last month.

The 23-year-old will also be among the groups to watch across the first two rounds as he has been placed alongside Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas, with the trio set to be among the first groupings on day one.

Rory McIlroy will also be fancied for glory as he participates in his first major since the birth of his first daughter, with the Irishman set to tee off early on Thursday afternoon from the 10th alongside Australian Adam Scott and Englishman Justin Rose.

Johnson will be made to wait on Thursday though, with the favourite among the final groups to tee off with the first as he plays alongside fellow Americans Bryson DeChambeau and Tony Finau.
