USA to face Venezuela in friendly at Rio Tinto Stadium

The U.S. national team head coach found himself confused by the lack of roster consistency during Jurgen Klinsmann's time in charge

The U.S. men's national team will face Venezuela in a friendly at Rio Tinto Stadium on June 3, U.S. Soccer announced Monday.

The match in Sandy, Utah, will be the team's final tune-up before two crucial World Cup qualifiers:againstTrinidad and Tobago in Denver on June 8 and then a visit toEstadio Azteca to take on Mexico on June 11.

"Salt Lake City has always been a fantastic host for the national team," U.S. coach Bruce Arena said in a news release. "When you combine the elements of the fan support, the stadium and the altitude, it's a perfect match as we prepare for the critical World Cup qualifiers against Trinidad & Tobago and Mexico."

The match will be the fourth meeting between the two countries, with the U.S. holding a 3-0-1 record. Kickoff will be at 10 p.m. ET and the gamewill be broadcast live on FS1, Univision and UDN.
