'If it's up to me': Vaclav Cerny quizzed on permanent Rangers transfer
Vaclav Cerny has opened the door to staying at Rangers on a permanent basis. But the on-loan Wolfsburg winger insists it's too early to think about his long-term future.
Cerny has found his feet at Ibrox after a turbulent first couple of months in Glasgow. The Czech international clashed with Gers fans last month and shut down his social media accounts after letting his frustrations boil over during matches against Hibs and Lyon. But the former Ajax star has recovered with 11 goal contributions so far - including crucial winners against St Johnstone and St Mirren.
The 27-year-old now feels settled in Scotland and has established a strong bond with boss Philippe Clement, who supported him through his tough period. Speaking ahead of tomorrow's clash with Dundee United, Cerny was asked if he'd consider extending his stay at Rangers.

He said: "If it's up to me, I would be open to talk obviously, but I think it's very, very soon to talk about that. If you don't mind, just let me focus on helping the team and achieve what we want to achieve, me personally and as a club. I think we've got plenty of time to talk about this."
While transfer talks have been put on the back burner for now, Cerny believes the best is yet to come from him. He added: "I hope so. That's what I'm working on, to be more dangerous, more effective.
"The numbers are ok right now for myself, but you will never hear me saying something that I'm satisfied or that it's ok like this. You will never hear that from me, so every day I can do something more or bring something extra, I will go for it."
