'Very disappointed' Jamie Carragher slams Mohamed Salah after Liverpool contract bombshell dropped
Jamie Carragher has slammed Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah after he spoke about his future in the aftermath of Sunday's 3-2 victory at Southampton.
Salah, who scored twice as Liverpool came from behind to win at St Mary's, admitted after the game that he is yet to receive an offer from the club over a new contract. The 32-year-old has just over six months to run on his current deal and there are concerns that he might leave next summer.
"Well, we are almost in December and I haven't received any offers yet to stay in the club, [so] I'm probably more out than in," Salah conceded. "You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December and I haven't received anything yet about my future."

And Carragher has since hit out at the Egyptian for speaking about his future and admitted his focus should instead being on preparing for Wednesday's huge Champions League game against Real Madrid.
Speaking on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, Carragher said: "I am very disappointed with Mo Salah. That interview last night after the game and it comes out today...Liverpool have got Real Madrid midweek and Man City at the weekend, that is the story for Liverpool right now.
"And Mo Salah, we are all quite aware, certainly, the local reporters are in Liverpool, that in the seven years he has been at the football club, he has stopped in the mixed zone twice. Which is his right, which is absolutely fine, but he decided to stop for the third time away at Southampton on the back of winning Liverpool the game and putting that out.
"Now, the most important thing for Liverpool this season, is not the future of Salah, not the future of Virgil van Dijk and it is not the future of Trent Alexander-Arnold. The most important thing is Liverpool winning the Premier League, that is more important than any of those players."
Salah has been in fine form for Liverpool this season, scoring 10 goals in 12 Premier League matches. His brace against Southampton has taken him to second behind Erling Haaland (12) in the top scorers list.
