Middlesbrough’s Victor Valdes had a rollercoaster of a game against his former club Manchester United at the Riverside Stadium.
The peak? Undoubtedly his belter of a double save. The pit? When he slipped over right at the end of the game, allowing the Red Devils to score a third goal.
The thing is, Valdes’s side may have lost 3-1 but he did make Man United work for it. At first, at least…
Valdes is gone make Man Utd work their socks off before they score today. #midmun

In the end, though, Man United’s attack started to prove too much.
This one Valdes couldn't stop. A brilliant cross from Young to pick Fellaini on the far post & a sublime header. Deserving lead. #MIDMUN

Way too much, in fact.
In the last few minutes of the game, Valdes had an embarrassing moment – he slipped over. Antonio Valencia capitalised on it to wrap up a win that moves his side up to fifth. And people couldn’t believe it.

But Valdes, you still pulled off that cracking double save. Remember that.
