Mario Balotelli is almost as famed for his tempestuousness and inability to control his emotions as he is for his undoubted footballing abilities - he's also been known to enjoy a prank or two, not to mention the occasional wind-up on the pitch itself.
And on Sunday, he was doing the latter; with his Nice side 2-0 up against Paris Saint-Germain in the second half of their top of the table Ligue 1 clash, Balotelli decided to show off some his silky skills.
His 'victim' was right-back Thomas Meunier, who demonstrated commendable composure and patience while Balotelli showboated on the left-hand side, but Blaise Matuidi was having none of it.
The French midfielder arrived on the scene, clearly annoyed, and proceeded to barge into the back of Balotelli, which would probably have actually pleased the former Liverpool striker. It also sparked a disagreement between a number of players, and that feeling of ill-temper would continue later in the game when both Thiago Motta and Angel Di Maria sent off.
The game finished 3-1 to the impressive hosts, Balotelli getting on the score sheet. It left PSG three points behind league leaders Monaco who have a game in hand. Nice, meanwhile, are just three points back from PSG in third, and will be looking to make things even worse for Unai Emery and his side.
