Chelsea have now officially announced that John Terry will leave the club after a 22-year association which brought four Premier League titles and the Champions League
Terry has made 713 appearances and counting for Chelsea and current players, including Cesc Fabregas, were asked about the departing centre-back during the course of the season.
John Obi Mikel also paid tribute to the former England captain, while Gianluca Vialli, who gave him his debut, admitted his biggest regret was not giving Terry a chance sooner in a Chelsea shirt.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek also commented on Terry back in July and the midfielder is widely regarded as the most promising academy talent since the Blues captain came through in 1996.

Ron "Chopper" Harris will keep his honour of being Chelsea's record appearance holder with 795, but he believes that Terry will have a role to play at the club in a coaching capacity once his playing days are done.
Ex-Blues Kerry Dixon and Gary Chivers also paid a tribute to Terry, who will go down as one of the greatest players of all time for his club.
