Scoring one goal in 20 minutes usually qualifies as a good day. Score two and it’s definitely something to remember. For the Brazilian striker Fred, he went above and beyond even that.
The Atletico Mineiro delivered a stunning four-goal effort, all coming in 20 minutes, to stun Sport Boys in the Copa Libertadores Group 6 encounter.
The four goals, which came between the 72nd minute and the third minute of stoppage time, allowed the Brazilian club to overturn a 2-1 deficit and walk away with a 5-2 victory.
The 33-year-old striker scored in all manner of ways, with his tallies coming via deflection, an open-goal finish three minutes later after a good set-up from team-mate Elias, a headerin the 89th minute and then a shot from the edge of the area at the end of stoppage time for good measure.
The win sees Atletico Mineiro go top of Group 6 two games in on goal difference over Godoy Cruz.
