The Australian A-League may not be the world's greatest division, but that doesn't mean goalkeepers can do whatever they want.
Perth Glory's Liam Reddy was made to look like an almighty muppet when he gifted Melbourne City a goal having attempted to dribble the ball out from his box.
A thrilling game looked to be all-but over as Glory led 5-3 with just minutes left, but for some unknown reason Reddy opted to go on a mazy run that you would expect to see happen on FIFA 17, rather than in real life.
Having got 40 yards down the pitch in possession of the ball, the Perth keeper was inevitably tackled and was made to pay for his stupidity when Melbourne went and put the ball into his empty net.
Thankfully Perth still prevailed to win 5-4, but quite what Reddy was thinking only he will know as he will doubtlessly be reminded by teammates that he plays in goal for a reason.
