Kylian Mbappe has caught the attention of European football for a number of reasons in recent weeks, but one attribute he possesses may have gone slightly under the radar.
In Monaco's 2-1 win against Lyon in their last outing, the prolific 18-year-old demonstrated an astonishingly unorthodox method of both avoiding the defender and the offside trap.
Mbappe has recently been valued as high as €130m by Monaco, and when you see the movement he's capable of in the video below, it's perhaps not overly surprising.
The most extreme blind-side movement ever?! On a more serious note - Mbappé's movement may be my favourite thing about him. pic.twitter.com/yRR4fzNlgC— Tom Payne (@TomPayneftbl) April 24, 2017
Having broken away from the already bamboozled Lyon defenders, Mbappe then demonstrates his exceptional speed to drive towards goal and fire a shot from a tight angle with his left foot.
The teenager has scored 15 in his last 15 games, and it's not difficult to see why. It's also not difficult to see why he has attracted so much attention from top clubs in Europe, the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Real Madrid all linked with a potential transfer.
It seems that Monaco are holding out for a world record fee, which could well be met should Mbappe continue his meteoric rise to prominence.
