Last month Trabzonspor midfielder Salih Dursun was sent off during his side's volatile clash with Galatasaray for showing Turkish referee Deniz Bitnel a red-card. His side finished the game with seven men which eventually saw them lose to a last minute Galatasaray penalty.
The referee's decision to send off Dursun was hailed across Europe and the Trabzonspor players responded in the perfect way in their following Turkish league game against Sivasspor.
Dursun waited until their was a stoppage in his side's 1-0 win before lifting the referee on his shoulders, prompting a round of applause from spectators and players.
Refereeing in Turkey has come under scrutiny this season following a series of bizarre decisions on and off the field, one of which saw Trabzonspor owner Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu lock four match officials in the changing rooms for four hours following a game.
