Arsenal loanee Jack Wilshere ​made a pretty basic mistake in a recent ​interview with Sky, when he somehow seemed to forget his own age.

The England international, who is currently on a season-long loan at Bournemouth, but is unclear as to whether he will return to Arsenal at the end of the season, with AC Milan among the many clubs reportedly keen on signing him.

Aside from his uncertain future in north-London, Wilshere was feeling in a reflective (and confused) mood about his career, claiming that he doesn't feel young anymore.

“I’ve started to realise I’m not that young any more. You know, I’m 24.” Wilshere said.

He will have certainly felt even less young when he returned home from the interview to realise that he turned 25 on New Years Day, much to the amusement of social media.

"I mean he's been 25 for a few months. It's hard to describe how dumb Jack Wilshere is" ​One Twitter user wrote.
