The Vikings and free agent quarterback Case Keenum agreed on Friday to a one-year deal.
According to ESPN, the contract is worth $2 million plus incentives. Keenum began last season as the Rams' starting quarterback, but after struggling through 10 games, starting nine of them,he ultimately took a back seat to rookie Jared Goff.
Keenum threw for 2,201 yards with ninetouchdowns and 11 interceptions last season. Undrafted in 2012 following a record-setting college career at Houston, Keenum has 24 touchdowns and 20 interceptions over his five-year NFL career.
Keenum, 29, will likely back up Sam Bradford this season with Teddy Bridgewaterstill recovering from knee surgery.Shaun Hill, who served as backup last season,is a free agent who likely will not be back in Minnesota.
This will be a reunion of sorts for Bradford and Keenum, who spent two months together with the Rams during the 2014 season.
