Viktor Gyokeres transfer message is exactly what Manchester United want to hear
In-demand Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres has already revealed his aspirations to test himself at the highest level amid Manchester United links.
The Sweden international has hit dizzying heights with the Portuguese giants and under current United head coach Ruben Amorim - where he has 67 goals in 71 appearances, including 66 in 68 outings for the 39-year-old. Gyokeres is courting interest from around the globe during his superb rise from Coventry City play-off final heartache to one of the biggest attacking hot-shots in Europe.
Links over a reunion with his former head coach will be persistent in January and beyond and the 26-year-old has hopes of achieving more in his career. Reports claim United have held talks with his representatives ahead of a proposed move to Old Trafford, and the Reds know exactly what they'll be getting from the Swedish striker if they were to make a move.

"I enjoy myself very much in Sporting and can't complain about anything, so it's absolutely no problem for me to stay," Gyokeres told Sport Bladet. "Of course, you aim to test other leagues and a higher level, but I have no stress.
"It was probably a bit too much because nothing came of it," he continued. "Of course, it's a lot of money. But we'll see what happens next window."
"I'm here," he later told Sport TV in Lisbon. "I really like being here. It’s not something I think about. I’m enjoying it here. Of course it’s not a normal situation but we won 5-1 and the team reacted very well.
"We are professionals and we have to continue like this. We are sad to see him leave. He is a great professional, he was fantastic for us, but we have to adapt."
