Vladimir Weiss Rangers stint provokes sweary rant from Celtic hero Mark Wilson

Mark Wilson launched into a sweary rant about "pr***" Vladimir Weiss as he recalled the attacker's time at Rangers.

The Slovakian former Manchester City kid Weiss spent a season on loan at Ibrox back in 2010 during which time he helped the club lift the Premiership and League Cup double. Celtic hero Wilson, speaking on Open Goal, still holds a grudge against the player and was delighted to see him booed off the park last night as his side, Slovan Bratislava, were mauled 5-1 by the Hoops on the opening matchday of the Champions League.

Recalling Weiss' time in Glasgow, Wilson was less than complimentary and he explained how there was one moment in particular he knew how much he couldn't stand his former foe.

"He was a p***, Weiss. He was," Wilson said. "Remember it was that period where (El Hadji) Diouf and all that was there and they had a squad with some individuals that were just...

"Remember Sammy (Georgios Samaras) missed the penalty at Ibrox, Rangers won the league and then in the celebrations I'm sure he set up the penalty, into McGregor and he played it out and they all started celebrating. He was a f***ing d*** so he was. I was buzzing. I couldn't believe he was captain of them last night!"
