Cooper Vuna has urged his Australia team-mates to 'stick to the plan'

Australia winger Cooper Vuna is wary of a Wales backlash in the second Test in Melbourne on Saturday.

The tourists went down 27-19 to the Wallabies in Brisbane last Saturday, Vuna making his international debut in the match. But the 24-year-old, who is being treated for several niggling injuries ahead of the weekend, expects the Six Nations champions to be fired up for round two.

"I guess we're just going to try and stick to the same game plan. As much as we can stay close to the game plan, I guess we'll come up with a good result," Vuna said.

"It's going to be a hard game. Wales will definitely bounce back and, whoever wins round two, it's going to be a good battle.

"It's going to be exciting and the boys are ready for it, they're up for the challenge and I guess we're just going to wait for the weekend and see what the result is at the end."

Vuna admits he was overcome with pride at making his Australia debut.

The former rugby league star was given his chance after Joe Tomane injured his ankle in the lead-up to the Test.

Former Queensland and Australia prop Andy McIntyre presented Vuna with his Wallabies jersey on Friday.

"My hands were shaking, my body was shaking at the start," the Melbourne Rebels winger said.

"When I shook his hand and grabbed the jersey, it's probably the best feeling ever. You just want to honour that jersey and put as much as you can into the game and into that jersey as well."
