IMG's rugby league gradings will be revealed this Wednesday morning, with Wakefield Trinity reinstated into Super League. The West Yorkshire outfit will return to the elite competition after a year in the Championship, where they secured an historic treble.

Rugby League Live reported their expected return on Monday, with the consensus for weeks on end being that the club will be a Super League entity once again, and that will be the case. They have done enough on and off the field to secure their place—and comfortably so, being a Grade A club.

They will be joined by local rivals Castleford Tigers, who are also comfortably inside the top 12 scores. There was some doubt in the Fords' spot following a provisional 13th place grading last year. However, the fellow West Yorkshire club have not only done enough to secure their spot, improving the facilities at Wheldon Road among other improvements in various criteria, but achieved the highest possible Grade A.

Both Wakefield and Castleford are understood to rank ahead of at least three Super League clubs: Hull FC, Huddersfield Giants, and Salford Red Devils. The Black and Whites, as reported by Hull Live last week, are expected to drop to a Grade B after earning a provisional Grade A score last autumn. The other provisional Grade A clubs were Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, St Helens, Catalans Dragons, Warrington Wolves, and Hull KR, who are all expected to hold their gradings.

All professional clubs were told their IMG scores this Tuesday, with their rankings also given. Meanwhile, Wakefield's admission back to Super League will be the only change to the competition's personnel. They come in at London Broncos' expense, with Toulouse Olympique also missing out.

London, as revealed by Mike Eccles, are on track to considerably improve their score, with the head coach believing the capital club are around two years from a return to Super League. The full scores and positions will be released at 10:30 am.
