Wakefield Trinity chase Bradford Bulls star deemed one of Championship's best
Wakefield Trinity are keen on highly-rated Bradford Bulls youngster Jayden Myers. Rugby League Live understands that the newly promoted Super League club is looking to sign the centre after he became a surprise option in the transfer market.
Myers, 21, had an excellent campaign at Odsal in 2024, scoring 12 tries in 27 appearances which saw him nominated for the Championship young player of the season award. However, Bradford's extensive recruitment drive has seen them sign the likes of Waqa Blake and Guy Armitage, while the likes of Jorge Taufua, Jayden Okunbor and Kieran Gill are also still in their ranks.
That has seen his first-team prospects take a hit and Wakefield are now looking to do a deal to add him to Daryl Powell's squad for the upcoming campaign. Myers is off-contract at the end of next season and would be free to negotiate a deal elsewhere heading into 2026.

Wakefield are thought to be big admirers of Myers after he caught their eye last season. A high-profile recruitment drive has also seen them add youth to their ranks and at 21, he has time on his side.
He will be unavailable for the opening rounds of the season after receiving a suspension following a tackle in Bradford's final game of last season, a play-off semi-final defeat to Toulouse Olympique. Myers received a four-match suspension for the challenge.
As for the Bulls, they are still expected to recruit further before the start of the campaign as Brian Noble continues to work on his squad.
