York back-rower Bailey Antrobus will face a tribunal after he was charged with a Grade F offence of “testicles attacking”.

No further details of the incident have been provided, though it occurred during the Knights’ Championship victory at Swinton last weekend.

A Grade F carries a minimum suspension of six games.

Recently, Castleford youngster Elliot Wallis was handed a five-match ban for an apparent striking of the testicles while playing on loan.

The incident occurred in the match between Midlands Hurricanes and Cornwall, and Wallis was subsequently handed a Grade E striking charge.

In that case, the panel stated: “The Panel are satisfied that this is a strike as opposed to an attack of the testicles. The Panel believe that Mr Wallis has intended to strike his opponent but cannot conclusively say that he is aiming for the genital area and the contact is fleeting.”

Back in September 2020, Super League duo Tom Lineham and Jordan Abdul were charged with grabbing the testicles of an opponent.

Bradford hooker George Flanagan served a 10-match ban for attacking an opponent’s testicles in the 2021 season, which was also rated as a Grade F incident.

Other Championship disciplinary news

Bradford hooker George Roby has been handed a one-match ban following the yellow card he picked up against Featherstone on Monday.

Roby was sinbinned for dangerous contact on Featherstone’s Elijah Taylor, and has been charged at Grade C.

Rochdale duo Zach Braham and Duane Straugheir have also picked up one-match bans for dangerous contact in the Hornets’ defeat against Doncaster.

North Wales’ Dave Gibbons and Hunslet’s Lewis Wray will also face tribunals after being charged with punching in an incident between the two teams last weekend.

Benjamin Hursey-Hord of Leeds Rhinos reserves is also up on a Grade E dangerous throw charge.
