Wanderers forward Dion Charles makes unwanted 2021/22 League One list
NORTHERN Ireland international Dion Charles has shown promising signs in the early stages of his Wanderers career.
The forward found the net six times in his first 11 appearances for the Whites after joining from Accrington early in the January window.
Charles also finished the campaign with a brace against Fleetwood including a remarkable goal, with his sliding tackle on Callum Camps looping over the helpless Alex Cairns and into the net.
However, the Bolton man finds himself in an unwanted list following the conclusion of the 2021/22 season.
Charles committed 1.8 fouls per match on average since the start of the campaign, which puts him in the top 20 "dirtiest" players across the division.
However, it is worth noting that his numbers are largely due to the intense pressing and off-the-ball work he carries out in Wanderers' system.
Accrington had the most players in the top 20 (three) while the likes of Wigan, Ipswich, Cheltenham and Lincoln also featured prominently.
Here is the top 20 in full, according to whoscored.com
