Waqar credits 'positive attacking approach' behind Pak's triumph over Sri Lanka

Karachi, August 03(ANI): Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis believes that it is his players' positive and attacking approach towards the game that resulted in their victory over Sri Lanka in the second Twenty20 game in Colombo on Saturday. Reflecting on his team performance, Waqar said the win clearly shows that his team is heading towards the right direction, the Dawn reported. The former fast bowler also said that they had been a well settled unit for the last one year in Tests as seniors support the juniors immensely, while pointing out batsmen Younis Khan and Shan Masood and leg-spinner Yasir Shah for extra praise. Pakistan sealed the two-match T20 series after defeating Sri Lanka in the second match by one wicket, thanks to quick-fire knocks from Shahid Afridi(45), Anwar Ali (46) and Imad Wasim's unbeaten 24 off 14 balls, which included the winning six as well. Pakistan had also won the preceding Test series 2-1 and clinched the one-dayers 3-2 in the island nation. Pakistan will next tour Zimbabwe, where they would play three T20s and as many ODIs from September to October. (ANI)
