SUPER skipper James Ward-Prowse scooped a hat-trick of prizes as Saints hosted their end-of-season awards.
The St Mary’s stalwart picked up the Fans’ Player of the Season, Players’ Player and Goal of the Season accolades, on another special night for the England international.
Ward-Prowse’s goal of season prize came for his stunning free-kick against Wolves in the Premier League back in January.
The treble on the night for the midfielder eclipsed the two gongs he won last season.
Ward-Prowse said: “I’m a very ambitious person and I always want to improve year on year on my targets and my goals.
"That was one of them – to receive that recognition was pretty special, and I’m using it to hopefully take me to the next level.
“They (the awards) are both very, very important, but both have different meanings.
“The fans are obviously right behind us and they see a small glimpse of our work during the week, but to receive the award from the players is extra special because you’re with them day in, day out.
“You go through that journey with them, the ups and the downs, and they see more of you throughout the week, so to receive that recognition from them is special and only acts as motivation to continue that standard now.”
Elsewhere on the evening, the prestigious President’s Choice Award went to young full-back Tino Livramento.
Signed from Chelsea in the summer, the England under-21 international enjoyed his breakthrough Premier League campaign at St Mary’s.
He played 28 times at England’s elite level, scoring once and registering two assists before being struck down by a serious knee injury at Brighton last month.
Club president Terry Paine said: “When he gets on the ball, you can hear that little buzz that goes through the crowd, because he wants to attack the opposition and produce that final ball that’s so important.
“At 18 when he first came in, this is his first full year in the Premier League, and he’s created such a good impression. I do think that potentially he has a very, very bright future.”
In the club’s academy, Dom Ballard picked up the Scholar of the Year prize.
The teenage striker had enjoyed a sublime season at the south coast club, scoring goals across the club’s B team and under-18 setup.
With the club’s women’s side being crowned National League South champions and League Cup winners, their Players’ Player of the season went to rising star Lucia Kendall.
Laura Rafferty picked up the Fans’ Player of the Season Award on her first campaign back at her hometown club.
The women’s Goal of the Season prize was landed by goalkeeper Kayla Rendell, who netted a dramatic leveller against Ipswich in the FA Cup.
