Warriors' Durant, Livingston sustain minor ankle injuries

Already playing without star guard Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors got two more injury scares Thursday.

The good news for the defending NBA champions is that the ankle injuries sustained by forward Kevin Durant and guard Shaun Livingston appear to be minor.

Durant rolled his left ankle with 4:36 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Warriors' Game 3 against the San Antonio Spurs. He left for good with his team ahead by 15 points, and Golden State went on to win 110-97 to take a 3-0 lead in the Western Conference first-round series.

Seconds after Durant got hurt, Livingston turned his right ankle.

After the game, Durant told ESPN, "I'm good. It's nothing. ... It didn't completely turn. I'm fine."

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of Durant and Livingston, "Both sprained ankles, but I think they'll be all right."

Durant scored a game-high 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the win. Livingston added 16 points in 20 minutes off the bench.

Livingston has been seeing extended playing time in the absence of Curry, who is sidelined due to a Grade 2 medial collateral ligament sprain in his left knee. Curry is expected to miss at least the first round of the playoffs.
